Lissa Jean Ferrell, Esq. is a licensed attorney practicing in the area of real estate, providing creative and practical transactional services in all areas of commercial and residential real estate, development, purchases and sales.
Lissa also currently serves as Chief Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Culture Officer for Javerbaum Wurgaft Hicks Kahn Wikstrom & Sinins.
Prior to joining Javerbaum Wurgaft as Of Counsel, Lissa served as Vice President, Financial Crimes Advisory for Barclays Bank. Ms. Jean Ferrell also served as Assistant Corporate Secretary for the Bank.
Prior to Barclays, Lissa enjoyed a successful decade in a global leadership role for American Express, and in 2012, Lissa founded LJF Consulting, a boutique consultancy that creates and builds strategic initiatives, partnerships, collaborations and mutually beneficial relationships with and between organizations that align with a client’s business development, brand or philanthropic interest.
An accomplished business executive and entrepreneur with leadership and management experience, Lissa is known for her strategic thinking, ability to thoroughly analyze business systems and create strategic solutions or collaborative relationships and partnerships to yield desired outcome.
In 2014 Lissa was recognized in New Jersey Monthly by Leading Women Entrepreneurs.
Since the beginning of her professional life, Lissa has sought out organizations that support the underserved and provides a helping hand to those in need. In addition to serving as Finance Chair on the UNCF New Jersey Leadership Council, Lissa currently sits on the leadership council for the Seton Hall University Stillman School of Business Buccino Institute, and as the Women’s Leadership Program Executive Chair. Her prior board memberships include: The Children’s Hospital of New Jersey, The Boys & Girls Club – Newark, The Garden State Bar Association. Lissa is also a supporter of a multitude of organizations that support social services or fight against chronic diseases, particular cancer. Deeply committed to equality and justice Lissa has also served on the New Jersey Supreme Court Committee on Municipal Practice.
The proud mother of three lovely daughters, Lissa recognizes the importance of paying it forward. and is strongly committed to the importance of education in every girl and woman’s life. A speaker in various business forums, Lissa has presented on various topics including women and finance, mentoring and sponsorship, leadership, legal compliance and negotiation.
